Kelly Barrell
SLP, Owner
Kelly Barrell, SLP and owner has 20+ years experience with the pediatric population. Specializing in early language development, Autism, speech disorders, feeding, parent coaching and more.
Trainings include: Hanen, S.O.S. Feeding Approach, Lively Letters and experience with Floortime.
Her passion has been Pediatrics ever since she completed graduate school. She has has 20 years experience, working with early intervention, clinic, settings, elementary, and preschools, and private practice. After co-owning and operating a private practice in South Carolina for almost a decade, her family relocated to the beautiful north Georgia mountains. Working part time and homeschooling her five children, the idea of beginning another clinic slowly became reality. Hence, Communication Station, Ga began.
She enjoys coming alongside families, helping to empower them to teach their children. Her specialties include childhood apraxia of speech, early intervention, language disorders, AAC, fluency, autism, spectrum disorders, literacy, but not limited to those. She has experience with LAMP training, Hanen Certification, Kaufman Approach training, and S.O.S. Feeding Approach.
In her little bit of spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, kayaking, using her new SUP board, and cuddling her family’s two King Charles Cavaliers, which are in the process of becoming therapy dogs.
Suzanne Swan
Speech-language Pathologist
Suzanne is a speech-language pathologist who has experience working in the clinical, school, hospital, and home settings. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University in 2005. Suzanne continued her education at Florida State University where she received her Masters Degree in Communication Disorders in 2007. She currently holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as her Georgia State License. Suzanne is experienced in evaluating and treating pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. She has experience working with children who have a variety of needs, including autism, feeding, language delays, phonological/articulation disorders, intellectual delays, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys going on adventures with her son, baking, and spending time with her dogs.
Charnelle McClellan
Speech-language Pathologist
Charnelle has been a licensed speech-language pathologist for the past 7 years and has primarily worked within the elementary school setting. Charnelle is from North Carolina and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Kristen Whaley
Licensed & Certified Occupational Therapist
Kristen graduated from Milligan College in Johnson City, Tennessee with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2008. She has been a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist for 15 years, currently licensed in Georgia and Tennessee.
